Tradebyte Integration

As a hub, Tradebyte bundles the connection to a large number of marketplaces and partners — provided your own shop system delivers product data, stock, and orders to Tradebyte reliably and in the right structure. Without an automated connection, that means manual exports, format adjustments, and constant coordination effort.

I take care of connecting your shop system to Tradebyte: product data and stock are transferred automatically in the required format, orders are retrieved from Tradebyte, and feedback on shipping, cancellations, and returns is sent back automatically — as a custom-developed interface that fits your processes. Because I know the work in Tradebyte itself from client projects, I build exports that arrive there cleanly.

Automatic product data transfer

Product data is automatically provided in the format Tradebyte requires and kept up to date.

Automatic stock reconciliation

Stock levels are continuously synchronized between the shop system and Tradebyte.

Automatic order retrieval

Orders coming in via Tradebyte are automatically imported into the shop system and processed there.

Feedback on shipping, cancellations, and returns

Fulfillments, cancellations, and returns are reported to Tradebyte automatically, so marketplace and shop always share the same status.

Hands-on experience in Tradebyte

I work in Tradebyte (TB.One) myself and know how to use it from client projects, not just the interface.

How the connection works

In my Tradebyte projects, your shop system is the leading system: that is where you maintain articles, prices, and stock, and from there the data flows automatically to Tradebyte (TB.One) and on through Tradebyte to the marketplaces. The interface covers the complete cycle:

  • Product data: Articles, variants, prices, and stock are transferred from the shop in the format Tradebyte requires and updated whenever they change.
  • Order retrieval: Orders from the marketplaces are collected from Tradebyte and created in the shop system.
  • Fulfillment feedback: As soon as an order has shipped, the confirmation is sent automatically to Tradebyte and thus to the marketplace.
  • Cancellations and returns: These are reported back as well, so that marketplace, Tradebyte, and shop always share the same status.

Depending on the setup, data is exchanged with Tradebyte via FTP as well as XML and JSON, among other things.

Which marketplaces run through Tradebyte depends on your contract with Tradebyte; typical targets are Amazon, Kaufland or eBay. If a marketplace is not served through Tradebyte, I can also connect it directly, see Shop-to-Marketplace Integration.

Process in three steps

  1. Agree on the data flows: We clarify which data your shop system provides, which marketplaces run via Tradebyte, and how orders, cancellations, and returns are handled. You receive a quote based on this.
  2. Implementation and testing: I build the interface, map your product data to the Tradebyte fields, and test the data flows before they go live.
  3. Go-live and operation: The connection goes into production. I add adjustments and extensions as needed, for example further fields or marketplaces.

The work inside Tradebyte, too

I do not just build the interface, I also know the other side: I have done the work in Tradebyte (TB.One) myself in client projects. That helps you in two ways.

As a service for you. If you do not want to take on the work in Tradebyte yourself, I can do it:

  • Mapping and product data maintenance: Mapping fields, categories and attributes and checking the data in Tradebyte.
  • Setting up marketplaces: Configuring marketplaces in Tradebyte and implementing their respective requirements.
  • Processes and rules: Setting up rules as well as order and returns processes in Tradebyte.
  • Error analysis and operation: Tracing and fixing errors in exports, orders or feedback.

Better exports. Because I know how data arrives in Tradebyte, is processed and distributed to the marketplaces, I build exports that arrive there cleanly and need less rework than when the interface is built from documentation alone.

Tradebyte integration for your shop system

I have implemented Tradebyte connections for these shop systems, among others:

Shopify

In total I have connected five retailers to Tradebyte so far, all of them with Shopify as the leading system, with product data transfer, order retrieval, and feedback. What such a project looks like is shown in the case study: Tradebyte integration for fashion retailers. More on the Shopify integration.

Shopware

I implement the Tradebyte connection for Shopware as well, following the same pattern: the shop leads, Tradebyte distributes. More on the Shopware integration.

plentyONE

I have implemented the connection for plentyONE (formerly plentymarkets) too. More on the plentyONE integration.

Magento, commercetools, and other systems

The Tradebyte side of the interface is independent of the shop system. The same approach therefore applies to Magento, commercetools, and other systems; I clarify the specifics of your shop system in advance in a conversation.

Tradebyte and ERP / inventory management

If your stock management or order processing runs in an ERP system, it becomes part of the connection. I have implemented Tradebyte connections with weclapp. How shop and ERP work together is described under ERP integration.

Via Tradebyte or directly to the marketplace?

Whether the route via Tradebyte or a direct marketplace connection fits better depends mainly on how many marketplaces you serve. I will tell you honestly if a direct connection makes more sense for you, see Shop-to-Marketplace Integration.

Custom interface instead of a standard connector

Ready-made connectors and platforms cover the standard case. As soon as your product data has its own structure, orders involve special cases, or cancellations and returns should work differently, a custom-developed Tradebyte interface is often the better fit: it maps exactly your processes. As a freelance developer, I am your direct contact throughout, with no agency or ticket structure in between, from coordination through programming to operation.

Effort and duration

A Tradebyte connection can be developed in about two person-days, so implementation is possible in roughly one week. Longer project timelines usually result from external factors in practice, such as coordination, approvals, or test phases on your side and at Tradebyte. A Tradebyte interface starts at €1,500 plus VAT. After we have agreed on the data flows, I will give you the concrete price in advance in a binding quote.

Frequently asked questions

What is TB.One?

TB.One is Tradebyte’s central system, where product data, orders, and marketplace connections come together. Your shop system delivers data there and retrieves orders; Tradebyte handles the connection to the individual marketplaces.

Which data is synchronized?

Product data including prices and stock, orders, shipping and fulfillment feedback, as well as cancellations and returns.

Do I need a ready-made connector or a custom interface?

A ready-made connector fits if your process follows the standard. If it doesn’t, I develop the interface individually to your requirements.

How long does the connection take?

The development itself takes about two person-days, and implementation is possible in roughly one week. How long the project runs overall depends mainly on coordination and approvals.

What does a Tradebyte interface cost?

A Tradebyte interface starts at €1,500 plus VAT. The exact price depends on the effort: data structure, scope of the feedback (fulfillments, cancellations, returns), and your shop system. After we have agreed on the details, you receive a binding quote.

Can you also take over work inside Tradebyte itself?

Yes. I have worked in Tradebyte myself in client projects and can take over mapping and product data maintenance, setting up marketplaces, processes and rules, and error analysis for you, even independently of a new interface.

For which systems have you already implemented Tradebyte?

For Shopify, Shopware, plentyONE, and weclapp. Further systems such as Magento or commercetools are possible on request.

Systems I connect

This is a selection, not a complete list. Your system isn't listed? Just get in touch, most systems with an API can be connected.
