Product data sync Stock and price sync Order transfer Dropshipping & fulfillment Multi-store setups Marketplace integration

Shopify gives you an excellent storefront, but no inventory management, no supplier connection and no marketplace logic. I close those gaps: I develop custom integrations that automatically sync product data, stock, prices and orders between Shopify and other systems, so nobody has to move data by hand or via CSV.

What I build for Shopify stores

  • Getting product data into the store: Items, variants, texts and prices from your ERP, suppliers or manufacturer interfaces are created in Shopify and kept up to date, even for large catalogs.
  • Syncing stock and prices: Inventory and prices are synchronized between Shopify and the leading system, so you never sell more than you can ship.
  • Passing on and confirming orders: Orders go automatically to your ERP, dropshipper or fulfillment provider; shipping, tracking and fulfillment status come back into Shopify.
  • Connecting multiple stores: A main store maintains the data, and further stores (for example one per brand) are mirrored from it.
  • Connecting marketplaces: Via Tradebyte and direct marketplace interfaces you sell your Shopify items on Amazon, OTTO and other platforms.

Excerpt from my Shopify projects

  • Main store with brand stores: Product data is maintained in a central Shopify main store, and the items of individual brands are automatically mirrored to the matching brand store.
  • Dropshipping: Stock is imported from the dropshipper, orders are exported to the dropshipper, and fulfillment confirmations go back to Shopify.
  • ERP and store: Stock and product data transfer from an ERP system to Shopify.
  • Shopify and weclapp: Shopify orders are automatically created as sales orders in weclapp.
  • Wholesalers and suppliers: Stock and orders between Shopify and a wholesaler, connected via FTP.
  • Store to store: Retrieval and creation of products plus stock and price sync between Shopify and further stores (Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix).
  • Tradebyte: Several Shopify stores connected to Tradebyte. Shopify is the leading system: it supplies the product data and reports shipping, cancellations and returns back, while orders from Tradebyte are created automatically. More in the case study for fashion retailers.

This is an excerpt from my completed projects, not a complete list of my services. Shopify offers extensive APIs, and whatever else you need, I build individually. If your project does not appear here, just get in touch.

Ready-made app or custom integration?

Ready-made apps cover the standard case. The comparison shows when a custom integration pays off:

Technology: how I work with Shopify

I work with Shopify’s GraphQL Admin API and, where useful, with webhooks, so the integration reacts to orders without constant polling. For large catalogs I keep Shopify’s API limits in mind so even extensive syncs run reliably. Data is exchanged with the other side via REST, GraphQL, FTP, XML, JSON or CSV, depending on the case.

Process

  1. Clarify requirements: Which system leads, which data flows in which direction, and which special cases exist (variants, bundles, partial shipments, returns)?
  2. Build and test: I build the integration and test it with real data before it goes live.
  3. Go-live and operation: The integration runs in the background; runs are logged, and I make adjustments as needed.

Every project is different, so you receive an individual quote after we have agreed the details.

Frequently asked questions

Is a ready-made Shopify app enough, or do I need a custom integration?

A ready-made app can fit when your process follows the standard. If ready-made apps do not cover your use case, a custom integration closes the gap. But a custom solution can pay off in other cases too: the running costs are often lower than the fees for an app.

Which systems can I connect to Shopify?

ERP and inventory systems such as weclapp, Xentral, JTL or Billbee, suppliers and wholesalers, dropshippers and fulfillment providers, further stores and marketplaces such as Amazon.

Can Shopify be the leading system?

Yes. Which system acts as the leading system is decided individually per data flow.

What happens if a sync fails?

Every run is logged, so errors are traceable and can be fixed deliberately instead of going unnoticed.
