Shopware Integration

Shop System
ERP integration Product data & stock Order transfer Tradebyte & marketplaces Reporting & analysis

Shopware is a flexible shop system that rarely works alone: inventory management, suppliers, marketplaces and reports all hang off it. I develop custom integrations that automatically sync product data, stock and orders between Shopware and these systems and prepare key figures from your shop for reporting.

What I build for Shopware

  • Connecting ERP and inventory systems: Items, stock and prices come from the leading system into the shop; orders go back to the ERP, including status and shipping confirmation. Possible partner systems are weclapp, Xentral, JTL or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Tradebyte and marketplaces: With Shopware as the leading system, product data and stock are transferred to Tradebyte, marketplace orders are retrieved, and shipping, cancellations and returns are reported back. Direct marketplace interfaces are possible as well.
  • Manufacturers and suppliers: Stock, price and product data from manufacturers and wholesalers keep stock in the shop up to date, and new items are created automatically in Shopware from the manufacturer data. If needed, orders and fulfillment confirmations go to the supplier.
  • Reporting and analysis: Order, revenue, item and message data from Shopware are read out automatically, prepared and provided as a report, a file or for a BI dashboard, instead of being exported by hand. More under Reporting.

Excerpt from my Shopware projects

  • Tradebyte: Shopware is the leading system, Tradebyte distributes the data to the marketplaces, and orders come back automatically.
  • Stock sync with manufacturer data: A manufacturer’s stock and price data are transferred to the shop continuously.
  • Item creation from manufacturer data: New items are created in Shopware automatically from the manufacturer data.
  • Analysis for a BI dashboard: Messages from Shopware are analyzed and prepared for a BI dashboard.

This is an excerpt from my completed projects, not a complete list of my services. Shopware 6 offers an extensive Admin API, and whatever else you need, I build individually. If your project does not appear here, just get in touch.

Technology: how I work with Shopware

I access items, stock, orders and customers via the Shopware 6 Admin API. The integration works without additional plugins in the shop that would have to be maintained through later updates. Data is exchanged with the other side via REST, JSON, XML, CSV or FTP, depending on the system.

Ready-made plugin or custom integration?

For many ERP systems there are ready-made Shopware plugins. They are a good choice if your process follows the standard. The comparison shows when a custom integration fits better:

Process

  1. Clarify requirements: Which system leads, which data flows in which direction, and which special cases exist?
  2. Build and test: I build the integration and test it with real data before it goes live.
  3. Go-live and operation: The integration runs in the background, runs are logged, and I make adjustments as needed.

Frequently asked questions

Which Shopware version do you support?

I work with Shopware 6. For an older version, we check beforehand whether and how the integration can sensibly be built.

Do I need a Shopware plugin for the integration?

As a rule, no. The integration uses Shopware’s API, so you do not have to install and maintain an additional extension in the shop.

Can Shopware be the leading system?

Yes. Which system acts as the leading system is decided individually per data flow.

Can you also automate reports from Shopware?

Yes. Order, revenue and message data can be read out automatically, prepared and provided regularly as a file, a report or for a BI dashboard.
